Paper cups are disposable cups made out of paperboard and often lined or coated with plastic or wax to prevent liquid from leaking out or soaking through the paper.

Normally, paper cup raw material is the material, which can be used in paper cup machine to make paper cup bowl container, popularly named as CUP PAPER .

The materials which can be used in paper cup machine are: Hârtie acoperită cu PE, PLA coated paper, Hârtie acoperită cu PBS, water based barrier coated paper, wax coated paper.

Paper cup material type:

• Hârtie acoperită cu film PE, Polietilenă (PE): Cea mai frecventă acoperire, un plastic pe bază de petrol aplicat în straturi. Previne scurgerea și rezistă atât la temperaturi calde, cât și la rece (Polietilenă cu densitate mică, Ldpe, este tipic).
• Hârtie acoperită cu film,PLA (Acid polilactic): Un bioplastic biodegradabil derivat din amidon de porumb sau canan de zahăr, folosit în “compostabil” cupe. Necesită facilități de compostare industrială pentru a se descompune.
• Hârtie acoperită cu PBS, PBS, Un plastic care posedă caracteristicile duble ale înlocuirii materialelor de biomasă pentru materiale din plastic și utilizarea proprietăților plasticilor în timp ce adăugați biodegradabilitate.
• Plastic free paper, water based barrier coated paper, a spus că este fără plastic, biodegrabil și compostabil.
• Wax coated paper, almost the first cup paper, now STOPPED.
